Berufliche Bildung in der Bauwirtschaft ist der Gegenstand der Forschung des BAQ. Mit empirischen Tätigkeitsanalysen schaf­fen wir die Basis für realistische Bildungskonzepte. Wir entwi­ckeln an der realen beruflichen Situation orientierte Methoden der Kompetenzfeststellung, die auch berufliche Erfahrung erfas­sen. Wir analysieren berufliche Bildung in Deutschland und Europa und entwerfen Strategien und Ansätze für Berufsbildung im Betrieb und auf der Ebene der Branche. Site Management during Change

The management of sites is the central function of management of the production in the construction industry. But site management is not only directing and organising the production itself, but also for every site from the very beginning installation and organisation of the infrastructure of the production. Thus, to the site management not only an increased influence on the use of the production facilities of the enterprise is attributed, but there is also a particular demand on competence, flexibility and responsibility of the members of the site management. However, their situation has not been inquired since long ago. The BAQ with financing from the Hans-Böckler-Stiftung is now starting a new project on these issues. (Project time 2012-2014)

Beruf, competence and skills needs of technicians in the construction industry
BAQ Forschungsinstitut has finalised a study on technicians in the German construction industry.

An explorative study of the BAQ Forschungsinstitut on the content and range of professional activities, the demand on skills and competence as well as on education and training in the construction industry will for the first time present basic information on this group of employees. The study is financed by the Hans-Böckler-Stiftung and is running from November 2011 to April 2012.

European Sectors Skills Councils

The BAQ Forschungsinstitut has taken over a feasibility study on the establishment of a Sectors Skills Council in the European Construction industry. The study will be executed on demand of the Social Partners in the construction industry at European level and financed by the European Commission. The project time is March to December 2012.

Development of a credit system for continuing education and training in the construction industry
(ECVET-D-Bau)

The study of the BAQ Forschungsinstitut in the frame of the pilot initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research to develop and test credit systems in vocational education and training has been completed successfully. A model for crediting competences outside formal recognition as well as a procedure and instruments for recognition of competences gained by experience and informal learning were developed. The project result will be published soon. The Project was financed by the Federal Ministry Education and Research.
